November Elections

Don't forget to vote on Tuesday the 2nd of November. This is a very important election! We need to make sure we do all we can to put people in office that will listen to their constituents. Washington is out of sync with the people and needs to listen to us. Every vote counts so make sure you cast yours.

Those living in Kansas need to vote YES on Constitutional Amendment #1. This will amend the Kansas Constitution to ensure an individual's right to keep and bear arms for any legal activity. I have talked with a couple of people that were confused by the wording, but the correct vote is YES if you want to amend the state constitution to ensure an individual right. In 1905 a ruling by the Kansas Supreme Court (City of Salina vs Blakesly) said "the peoples right” to bear arms was a collective right, meaning ONLY standing militias were entitled to bear arms, and then ONLY in defense of the state. Although it was never enforced, this amendment will clarify the language and make sure the right of each individual Kansan to bear arrms will never be questioned. If you value your right to possess and use firearms for any legal purpose, whether it is protecting your family, hunting, or for recreation, vote YES on Question #1.
