06/23/2010: "Match This Saturday June 26, 2010"

Match will be held this Saturday June 26 at 10am. Bullet Hole Range, Overland Park, Ks.

SOs are Joe Mulligan with help from Bob Bentz and Billy Miller with help from Don Lehman. We have had some really good matches the last few months and look forward to more of the same.

Last month we had 31 shooters with 3 shooters competing with 2 guns. Our accurate shooters were George Sims (down 6 points total) & Clint Ancker & Chuck Northcott both with 9 points down. As a well known trainer says, "Don't shoot fast, shoot good". Good shooting guys.

SO's please remember, we want you to be able to shoot the match, which can be difficult when we are running a lot shooters through our stages. Get some help to allow you to rotate out and shoot both your own stage as well as the other stages. If you can't find help, ask one of the Board members to help or to find some help. When you are a SO or Assistant SO, when you put in your score sheet, make sure to tell them you are working the match and to move you to the top of the list. This is club policy and there shouldn't be any issues with this practice.

I want to give Mike Widebrook a huge thank you for creating some new lightweight walls. These should make it much easier to setup matches. Mike worked very hard getting rid of the old heavy walls and then building the new ones. We are looking at some other ideas to help make it easy to build walls and vision barriers for our matches.
