04/20/2010: "BUG Match Saturday April 24, 2010"

Don’t forget the match this Saturday. We will have our annual “BUG” match. Do you know what a “BUG” is? BUG stands for Back Up Gun. It is a division within IDPA reserved for local matches only and utilizes some of the “little” guns we sometimes carry in our pockets. If you need more info go to http://www.idpa.com/Documents/IDPARuleBook2005.pdf and read pages 26-27 in the IDPA rulebook. The BUG stage will be a separate event from our normal match. If you have a pocket gun you carry, bring it out and see how you do with a gun you probably don’t shoot very often. Try to bring something you actually carry and not necessarily something that just fits within the rules. The course will modified for those not shooting a BUG gun. So bring your regular gun as well as your BackUpGun and see if your system works. If you don’t have a backup gun there are generally several at the match willing to lend their gun. You probably will have to buy some factory ammo, but hey it’s a gun store and they sell it upstairs. See you Saturday.
